Start with a 6" square paper.

Score one side 1-1/4" from each end.
Turn paper and score 2-1/2" from each end. Fold score lines in and the purse will begin to take shape.
For the sides, use the score lines in the 1-1/4" margin.
Fold horizontal [bottom] score line vertically and backward to meet the [side] score line of the purse, i.e., make the score lines "kiss." Kiss 4 times, twice on each side.
Use bone folder to make creases.
Embellish.
Use scraplings for handles.
Use three punch outs for the top, one for each side along with a third "latch" tucked into a brad.
